The White Screen of DEATH! Help please.

Hi. I'm kinda a noob here, but I just started hacking Pokemon Fire Red. Yesterday, I did some cool changes here and there, but lost them all when I messed with Pallet Town. Now, I've redone all of those changes from scratch, but the game isn't loading in the emulator, and I'm getting a white screen. I don't want to lose these changes again, but I've heard that you can't fix it and you just need to scrap the ROM and start all over again, and I REALLY REALLY don't want to. Is there any other way of fixing it?
