Penumbra

im sure some of you have seen or played this already, i myself just recently tried it and its pretty good, mostly liked the interaction part, at least you can open doors in real time hehe, levels are rather dull looking at times though but i still feel like finishing it
looks nice graphically, using some of the nice features of OpenGL, there's even a realtime motion blur in which i dont see much in newer games and the physics is fine too for a free game.

So you just run around in an empty hallway. Oh that looks like a fun game.

I downloaded it at my friend's house after seeing a thread here when someone was looking for this game but didn't know the name of it. It won't work on my computer. It just flickers like its about to go into full screen and then it just nothing. But it seemed really cool at my friends house. The physics and graphics are really good for a free game and I like the interaction part as well. The people who made it are actually coming out with a commercial version soon.

I played this game, it was good except the one monster that is impossible to kill unless you dynamite it with excellent accuracy. Physics = very yes. Graphics = realisticish. gameplay = medium. Also incase anyone is wondering they are making a commercial version of the game that isn't just one level. I believe megagames has an article about it.

I know this thread is a bit old, but the reason I bump it up is because people simply get annoyed at dublicate threads

I downloaded and played this game. Runs great, and good grafics, ho they could be better. The interface were good. I liked the way you open and cloe the doors, and that you really needed to use your head at many occasions.

What I disliked:

That there seemed to be some kind of blurr everywhere on the floor, walls, doors, etc etc.
I didn't like when the 2nd monster appeared. I blocked the door to the room I were in when I heard a sound from outside, and after the big block I continued looking arund the room. Then I turned around and almost CRAPPED MY PANTS because the monster had slipped in anyway! D:

I also didn't like that there were no real weapons, and the flashlights batteries dried out instantly.

The game were too short, too.
