epsxe crashes in ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake)

I'm having a problem with epsxe on Ubuntu, and was hoping someone could help.

The first thing I did was made sure I had the linux only plugins, So I downloaded the plugins under linux in the epsxe section on ngemu. So I had all the Linux plugins I needed.

Then when I start up epsxe, and go to config -> Video , or config -> Sound , epsxe Just crashes or closes.

I tried removing libcdrmooby, but that didn't work.

My specs are:

Intel Celeron D 330 @ 2.66 GHZ,

1024 Megabytes of Ram,

BFG Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 OC,

Sony Dual Layer DVD-RW DRU-810A,

Sound Blaster Live 24-bit

Plenty of free hard disk space.

Thank You if anyone can help

Yeah, I made sure they were the Linux plugins for epsxe, and they were. I appreciate your help though.

Anyways, I've just finished installing the Nvidia Driver for Linux, and my Geforce FX 5500, I'll see if that fixes anything in a minute, and report back here, if it solved my problem or not

:Edit: Just tried with the newly installed nvidia driver, Still a no go. epsxe still crashes or closes when selecting video in Config -> Video, or Config -> Sound

Yes! I figured it out on my own

All I needed to do to keep epsxe from crashing, was download additional libraries, including libgtk, and stdc++ , and voila it works now.

If you're reading this RontheCon, it might be of some help to you
