Save states without CD ID - homebrew
Greetings I have a question about CDs without identification such as SLUS* like homebrew psx applications. Is it possible to save/load a game state and changing/ignoring the identification of the disc without having it available already? A possible command line switch would be highly appreciated. Many homebrew applications and discs lack identification, not being able to save the games can be quite annoying, any solution to this yet? Thanks a lot, ePSXe is truly a masterpiece of art showing what people can accomplish with pure willpower and patience, keep up the good work with emulation! Regards, Kenzeitak

Hm not sure about ePSXe but PSXeven have savestate manager and you can load a savestate even if you don't have disc (while in ePSXe you can have any disc but you must name a savestate by a game code), i'm not sure about saving states though. Well i suggest you try PSXeven and see for yourself.

PSXeven is a PSX emulator made by Xeven (a member of this forum). PSXeven have nothing to do with ePSXe but they can use same plugins (those are psemu pro type plugins).

PSXeven doesnt seem to support saving state at selected path thus, loading a state in a selected path is meaningless if you cant save any in the first place. Hm, i havnt found any console command to ignore/specify game codes yet. If anyone else has suggestion please tell. I would be very grateful! Thanks for your suggestions Shendo! Regards, Kenzeitak

Hm, I just tried with pSX and i could save the "none" code (just launched BIOS and made a savestate). So try with pSX 1.7.
