Please offer advice... not too knowledgable here.

I am trying to help my aunt set up the ePSXe Emulation device so she can play some of her PSX games on the PC. I had no problem whatsoever getting it set up on my PC, but hers is a little different. The graphics she is running, from what I understand is an integrated graphics card, in the system properties, if I am looking in the right place it say that her Display Adapter is Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller, I am not sure if that would be the problem as mine is an Nvidia, but anyways, I downloaded the Pete's OpenGL for her, same as I am using, and when I open up the emulator, it acts as if it will work, but it sticks at thye black screen, and gives me two error boxes, the first of which says "Missing Render-Texture Extention", and the second says "No pixel format available". I have never occured any error like this before and so I do not know what to do seeing this. If anyone could offer some advice, or any form of help what-so-ever, it would be highly appreciated. You could either post back on this forum, or jsut E-Mail me with the help advice at xx_dream_walker_xx@msn.com, thank you in advance to everyone.

ewww integrated graphic card.... anyway you are using Pete's OpenGL2 2.8 right? well use 1.76 instead, it will work with that card.

Try the pSX emulator. There is no setting up needed and it worked great for all 3 of my computers. When I tried ePSXe for the first time, it kind of discouraged me because of all of the setting up I had to do. With pSX, you don't have to do all of that.

OGL2 on intel cards is guaranteed death.

86865 isnt that bad, you can probably use OGL, but don't put the resolution too high.

in this situation though, i recommend Peops software GPU or just the pSX emulator.

well, epsxe is the emulator i have been using, so i figured i would get her one im familiar with, a little easier to teach her that way. i did get the Pete OpenGL 1.74 i think it was... didn't notice a 1.76 listed, but it works just fine for her, she tried it with crash bandicoot, and it worked at least. Thank you all for the responses ...back to good ol' FF7 for me

Well... Petes D3D should work without any flaws... and if he and his aunt care about GFX it's always better than Peops and whole simmilar rest
