Controls dont suck, go buy a gamepad. They work perfectly. I do admit that they could have spent a little more time cleaning up the textures, but the game is still fun.

im using a control pad, and it handles nothing like the ps2 one, as i said before the direction of the controls randomly changes and it insists i move with the right analog stick which is stupid

Sims, I wonder how you could ever give it an 8 for graphics? It looks alright if it were a pc game from '99, texture wise it looks pre-'99, and there are effects missing

Maybe we should have a little bit more patience and wait for it to run properly on PCSX2?

let's take a jurney back to years when RE, RE2 and RE3 were ported to pc...from my experience with those games... those ports weren't too good either...

Still I hope they won't screw RE4, because I'm thinking about buying it for PC also....

this game is good enough for a port, not sure what the actual lighting was supposed to look like but it seems ok. I'm running at 1600x1200 with no problems at all. The only thing thats wrong is that the controls are messed, gonna redo them tommorrow.

Ok Im probably just paranoid but why do all the files in the setup folder look like ps2 games files with slight modifications? You dont think this is some werid emulator do you?

hehe, the worst RE PC port has to be RE3.

Still the PS2 RE4 was a great achievement. The ingame CGIs didn't show the characters' new costumes in the PS2 version as well as lighting FX, the only thing that worth the PS2 version is the "separate ways" the movie browser and the new gun after beating the professional mode. Having added those extras to the original game cube RE4 version would have made it the best one.

Back in topic, unfortunately my PC doesn't support the game. I still think that DMC3 SE for PC would make the control scheme difficult as all the combos need to be done quickly and accurately IMO. It's a shame reading your comments that it seems to be not quite a good port, even though, DMC3 is an excellent game, one of the best I've played. Can't wait for DMC4...

if you have an nvidia card and you tell the game to use like 8x AA and 16x AF it looks pretty good at 1600x1200. I wish the lighting and shadows were proper though.

Also PS2 port is worth itself if you don't have gamecube or PC powerfull enough to play this game

Anyways... let's just wait for release

Guyver2K6 - that game... kind...a... sucked anyway, so doesn't matter

Coolsvilleman - can you post some screens?

Has anyone finished it already? Has it any more or different extras than the original DMC3 SE?

I do remember it, hmm, I have it somewhere. Somehow never played it all, don't ask why.

yeah... mind posting some?, I've always imagined how good looking DMC would be with AA & AF

Indeed.

Unfortunately I believe I won't be able to play it till then, because of my current hardware. Little by little the bunch of games for PC I want to play are in queue once upgrading takes place, damn $ shortage.
