pSX 1.5 and FF9 PB

I can't run Final Fantasy IX with pSX.
I have the Original CDs plus the patched copy wich run fine under ePSXe.
Other games I have run fine in pSX.

Anyone has an Idea how to make this game work with pSX?

For my little friends, I prefer they use pSX instead of ePSXe because pSX is more simple to use for them.

Sorry Hushy, I realized Iwas to low in my explainations.

In fact, the game doesn't start. I mean when I tryed to load it from CD it seems to load something but in fact it stay there with a the black window. From a Cue/Bin it says : CD not usable: failed to open file.
It does it for every CD from the 4.

people have said that pSX is picky with image types. have you tried remaking it into a different type, with a different program? how about playing off CD?

try useing ultraiso to make an img file of the cd. i will save you the trouble of *****ing. the reason the battle menu does not come up could be several resons. try switching your current bios to the one provided with pcsxbox v.11 (HLE) turning off frame skipping in the set graphic fixs turning on old frame skipping if nesicary and NOT useing trottle forward. it works for me

Well since pSX can load a savestate regardless of the game (which may be good in this case) , you could try this:
Mount a game to a virtual drive (with daemon tools or Alcohol virtual drive),
run the mounted FF IX Cd1 and load a savestate then go to new game/continue.
Now the pSX should start reading data from the "disc" and continue the game.
Attached Files
File Type: rar quicksave_1.rar (856.4 KB, 24 views)

Shendo the game cd doesn't load. the only thing it does it's a black screen. (no intro, no music, nothing). So, I'm not even able to load any savestate.
BTW, thanks for the suggestion it could help later.

Anyone was lucky enouth to run/launch this game?

Damn, i tried this on pSX 1.4 and not 1.5... i see now that things
have changed a bit (savestates handleing is different in 1.5), well if you want you can try that trick on pSX 1.4.
