NFS4 nasty framedrops

hi, i expirience some nasty framedrops with epsxe1.6 when playing NFS4, it drops down to 13fps on some spots. my computer specs is p4 1.6, 512 ram, geforce mx440. i fooled arround with all kind of settings in pete ogl1.75 plugin but neither setup showed much better frames.. so if anyone knows a good setup for this game which gives some decent framerates pls share your knowledge

Switch your plugins settings to 16-bit instead of 32-bit. If it's still slow, try the PEOPS Soft gpu plugins or download older version of Pete's OpenGL plugins. Pete's OpenGL 1.63 is the best version for GeForce4 MX440 series coz I own that kind of video card before. You can download it here.
