Is there a way to slow down the game speed?

If you must know, I'm having trouble with the swordfight scene between Blank and Zidane in Final Fantasy 9, and I'm sure reducing the game's speed would help greatly. Anyone know how?

Go to your graphics plugin and set a fps limit that is lower than 60

You can then change the speed in game by scrolling through the different settings while in game.
