Monitor Problem

I had some problem with my other monitor. It's Likom 17" color monitor. It happen to be jarring and half of screen is black. What's the cause of this and how to fix it? Anyone?

RMA means Return Materials Authorization, basically request for it to be replaced from the place you bought it :P

There's no warranty anymore. Can't do. What's probably the cause of this. In case I want to avoid it in future. This is my second monitor with the same problem. The first one is Acer 15" which completely black and not useable anymore.
