Pokemon Emerald Pain

Hey guys I'm new here, thanks for reading my sad tale.

Well, I finally polished off the Champion Wallace, and boy was I happy. It saved the game, told me not to turn off the power, and then played the credits. It said "THE END". How true it was. When it went back to the title screen, I pressed start, it told me the usual, clock based events will not happen, and then, horror, New Game, or Options. Really, not my game? Why not, where did it go? Sigh.

Anyone know why on earth once I beat emerald it got erased. All I can conclude is that it was somehow emulator based, so I came to the place where people would know such things. Help and comments aprpeciated.

Hey man thanks for the rpely, when I first posted I hadn't read hte flash memory faq. I just did the thing with the text file, and now it doesn't say the thing about clock based events anymore, but it did say when i started itup my data had been erased because the save file had been corupted, any idea how finishing the game constitues corupting the save data? Sigh.

I also tried doing the flash memory thing to an early copy of leaf green I had just started, and it said the save file was corrupted on that too, does asdding the memory file corrupt the save file automatically? It says whenever I start up leaf green, the save file was corrupted, the last save file will be loaded. Thanks a lot for any help everyone.

So,you are playing with the emulator,and then this problem occures.It is unlikely to be from the game itself,but however, try it on your real hardware(from which you dumped the game),and see if it cant save at the same conditions.
If you just cant,it would assume you aren't using your back-up,so you play illegal.

Hey I just played through Leaf Greenand it didnt erase afterw ards, it must have just been because I didn't have the flash memory thing from the FAW i read after I posted.
