Help on ff9 after pinnacle rock

hi everyone,i'm new on the forum.Hope to have a nice stay here.

ok,back to topic.I've had some problems with ff9.I search through the forum for help but it seems that no one had the same problem as mine,or i might have missed the post, so i decided to post a new thread.Right now i'm at the pinnacle rock after i've gotten Ramuh.It hangs at the scene after the mdec movie in pinnacle rock of the red rose.it was alright for me after the movie.But at the scene after Dagger rushes for the city.It hanged.It was the scene of Zidane following dagger after she shouted for mother and after vivi fell down trying to follow zidane.For some reason,i always had problems viewing the mdec movie so i managed to skip the movie using the eject cd and change disc method.But after the 1st scene after the movie,it just hanged and i could no do anything about it.i tried using different emulators,different plugins and even tried out different settings but it still didnt work for me.i'm using the NTSC US version of ff9.can anyone advice me on what to do or help me to get pass that scene for me?this is my memory card attached..thanks!

Try using ePSXe version 1.5.2. I was having the same problem at another point in the game and it solved it for me. Just remember to copy the memcard files so you can start at your last save.

He said he tried different emulators and that he's had problems there before, so I'll take a guess on it being a bad part on the game? I passed it but I was using ePSXe 1.5.2, so you may need to rename the memory card back to what it was. You only missed about two seconds of dialogue.

yup i tried epsxe 1.5.2 and 1.6.0 both with same result.i tried some other emulators and it was the same.i thought the disc might be the problem but i tried it on my bro's comp and everything was working fine it seems my comp had some problem with playing final fantasy.btw,i had skipped pass that scene with bro's help.thank all for the help anyway..

damn,it seems i have serious problem in playing fmv movie in the game.no plugin,setting,emulator is solving the problem.i guess my graphic card is not good enough for it.sometimes i tried skipping the movie with the eject cd,change disc method but now i cant use it anymore.i'm now stuck at the sence at Madain Sari and had defeated Scarlet Hair.now i need to find dagger and after i found her,theres somes dialogues and then at the fmv,error appeared.can anyone can tell me what to do or help me to skip pass that fmv..thanks alot.

Post your current plugin settings.
Try using peops soft gpu plugin as it has the highest compatibility and works well with older graphic cards.

i'm playing it in an old p3 comp,so i'm using pete's dx6 d3d driver.opengl will make things laggy.for setting,i choose fast but changed the off screen drawing to 2nd option to "Standard".i dont have any problem with the game except for the fmv.the error never fails to appear everytime a fmv is played.if i'm lucky,sometime i can still see the starting few seconds of the fmv b4 an error appears.but sometime the error just appear right after a scene

haha,it's an old computer given to me by my company.my graphic card is from SIS(silicon intergrated system) sis630/730.i tried the peops soft gpu plugin and error message still appear.i think the problem lies with my old system.

I suggest reinstalling your graphics drivers seeing as the FMV's are causing the error.

yea i've tried it.and i update my driver too.it didnt work.
