New To emulators - Need help
Hello All, I'm new to emulators and recently tried to get ePSXe to work with a FFT ISO I have. The initial configuring went very smooth but when it came time to play the game I ran into several issues. 1) No Sound - I've tried ePSXe SPU v1.5.2, Eternal v1.41, Pete's Sound Plugin 1.9. Are there any settings I should enable? I have a Soundblaster Live! 5.1 running and yes normal sound works fine - and its no muted! :-P 2) Secondly, it'll run through the game intro way to fast. It's quite funny. 3) Last I can't get my controller to work. When I configured it ePSXe recongized it and its buttons. It's worked for all the PC games I've used it to play with. But when I try to use it in-game using ePSXe it doesn't work. I know these are probably fairly easy questions - but thanks for taking the time to help. |

Well if you search the forums theirs many posts on this, Uno you should set eternal with a low buffer for faster cpus try it if you get garbage its too low. Dos set frame limiting to 60 if your using peops soft plugin this is common Tres make sure the controller i splugged in before you start epsxe secondly mess with the gitial, analog, and digial & analog option till the buttons respond. Youi have to program them under gamepad 1 click on the button you want to set and then click on the button on the controller. 1.5.2 is a little touchy sometiems you need to restart even if it doesnt tell you after setting something it but typically its the best version to use. |

I set the FPS and fixed the speed problem. However, I can't get the sound to work nor does ePSXe respond to my keyboard nor game pad. Is it perhaps the .ISO? What games do/don't work?

For the controller - make sure that you selected "digital only" and if you are using 1.6.0 don't select multitap (doesn't work sometimes). Sound - Have you enabled all boxes in the sound config (Enable sound,Enable CDDA sound...)

Hey guys - I enabled all the boxes and got sound to work. I also played around a bit with the controller config. I still can't get it to recognize my controller - however my keyboard is recognized. It's a USB controller - Thrustmaster.
