WARNING: Unable to locate psx executable
Hi I've tried to run the parodius game (SLPS 000002) without any success. The emu outputs in the window the warning WARNING: Unable to locate psx executable I tried to make an iso, and got the same results. Of course I tried with different plugins without any succes. (weird, but epsxe is able to start the game) I also had this behavior with other games (Rockman X6 I think) Is there a way to make this work ? Is it a bug of the emu or the plugins ? (and no, I would rather not use epsxe instead of psxeven) Thanks |

Thanks I already used the search funtion of the forum, and indeed, nothing very helpfull. BTW, the Parodius CD does have a psx.exe in it, and it's not a demo. I don't have anything against epsxe. It's just psxeven is working just fine for all my games, so why change. It was already a pain do configure ![]() I just don't want to manage different emulator for the same system, and I don't want to manage different versions of the same emulator (I read some stories on epsxe forums. Things working with 1.5.2 and broken with 1.6.0), but that's my problem ![]() psx emulation isn't as mature as snes emulation (or other systems), but it's just a matter of time (I hope) [Edited for right versions of espxe] Last edited by sleipnir; March 26th, 2006 at 21:38.. |

Parodius games don't work with PSXeven v.19 and below, although it shouldn't be with that error. It's been fixed with the new cdr core, but when I'll release that, I haven't made up my mind yet. So I recommend any other emu that will run these game(s) and afaik, epsxe should work great.

For the sake of simplicity ![]() Setting a PSX emulator is already a pain, and I don't have time to fight against 3 of them. Everything is running on an HTPC, and once it's working, I don't touch it anymore. Besides, my PS2 is still used to play PS1 games when PSXEven isn't able to. |

that's bullcrap. let me get this straight. you have time to sit down and play videogames....but you dont have the time to change emulator settings when you want to play, which takes maybe 30 seconds max each time you play? |

LOL, I would have time to do that, but my 5 years old daughter won't be able to do it alone (and my wife too). But I think all this isn't related to the original topic of this thread, concerning a warning of psxeven, in a psxeven forum ![]() Thanks to Xeven for the reply. I'm looking forward to a newer version of psxeven ! |
