MSN 7.0 weirdd problem

Hi,
i got msn 7.0 installed on my pc and summat is wrong with one of my contactz. I have added a person and he has allowed me to see him online but i still cannot see him online even though other ppl from my contact list can see him. how can this be. I've been thinkin maybe sumhow IP's have been blocked from one of the sides?

try to install a new msn version. 7.5 for example. are you sure he didn't block you? :P the msn client works over the msn server, you aren't directly connected to your contacts. so your IPs can't be blocked :P

7.5 does not run on win98se and yes im sure he hasnt blocked me.
But is it possible for a firewall to block incoming ip addresses?

btw ive even made a new add and the same problem is still there and i have also reinstalled msn a couple of times...

You could give my fave msn client a go & see if that solves the problem.

Which is the client that i need?? , i have no idea what to pick

development: my friend has not even recieved the request from me to add him to my contacts...

I found this happened sometimes, fixed it by logging off and on again..

Its possible your connection is bad.

At work, I've had my friend try to talk to my over msn, yet on my side he's not logged in and no message appears =/
