Hey, i am not sure if it was posted or not but i completed all the steps and now have the game on my memory file but when i load the game it crashes. i can load other games but not that one. i took it out of the memory file and still it doesnt work. any advice. The game is FFX pal version
in the black box it has:

XML loader returned an error. Trying to load a pnatch...
comment: Insert comment.
gametitle: Insert Game Title.
patchnumber: 2
PAL display mode initialized.
framelimiter rate updated (UpdateVSyncRate): 50.0 fps
HDD Enable: 0
vtlb miss : addr 0xDEADFACE, mode 1

Never mind was able to fix it, it was that i had enable patches on

That means you have some cheats for that game that pcsx2 don't like.

And how exactly this has anything to do with memory card saves?
That problem is because of the custom resolution.
