Does that game use DirectX 9 with the GeForce card? GeForce 5 series cards had a hell of alot of trouble with DX9 so some game companies even backed down to DX 8.1 with those cards. Probably not the case, but oh well.

ToM_E consider this a final warning. STOP double posting, STOP creating multiple threads over the same topic.

You have been here long enough, you should know better.

What brand is it Tom_E?

If your still having problems and you have AGP, shoot for a 6 series card. If you have the bucks, get a GeForce 6800. They are like 5 bucks more than a 6600GT nowadays.

Also considering flashing a newer BIOS. That might be the case.

The GeForceFX doesn't have issues with DX9 Pixel/Vertex shaders, it just does them slowly. That being said, I don't think Lineage 2 uses either.

ToM_E: From a 9000 Pro to an FX 5500 (slightly, and I mean slightly, OCed 5200)? Ick. Bad choice.. :/

Anyhow, for your problem.. do you have the nVidia stereoscopic drivers installed? Check add/remove, and if so, uninstall them.

if you can rma your video card, sound like a doa, if you got it from newegg, Rma it there for a refund and get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102185

i just notice it there and these are rare. this card is faster then your card. and its under the GF4TI4200. unlike the GF4TI4200, the 8500LE will play BF2 since its DX8.1 and suppor the min req for BF2 while the GF4TI is Dx8.0 and doesnt support the req for BF2 to start up.

plus the 8500LE can be oced to a normal 8500 it not that far away from it.

this is the best bank for the buck around the 40-50 range that you can get. i would recommand it over all of these 5200/5500,5700LE 64bit,9000,9200,9200SE,9550 64bit,gf4mx and whatever evil spawn of these cards thats out there.

why waste money on the lowest end cards? The standard issue cards are now x700 or Geforce 6600GT, and if you are really strapped for cash a radeon x600 is a pretty very good card for the cost.
