Your Prom 2005 costs?

I was wondering how much Prom came out for some of you guys, since I know a lot of people already had theirs. Mine is June 10th, and I'm sort of late getting everything. I might have to rent a Limo, which is even worse because that means more $$$ down the crapper. Sometimes I just feel like telling my date I can't go because it's too much for one night, but knowing her, she'll never let it go.

Anyway, hope you guys can help out. Especially if you're a male, since I don't have to worry about getting a dress, hair done, etc(LMAO). Thanks! :guitar:

Do you really think any of us here went to prom?.......

Just kidding. Mine came out to be around $400. I'm glad my parents paid for it. I was spoiled. Now I'm poor, even when they pay all of my tuition.

If you have a date that you really like, use money on it, it'll be an event she'll never forget, and maybe later that night you'll never forget it either.

Thats the exact reason i refuse to go to prom. They want me to pay $300 to put on a suit i don't wanna wear, listen to music i don't like, and shuffle my feet to make it seem like i'm having a good time with a girl i probably ended up with because i had noone better to go with, when i'de probably get more enjoyment at home watching a movie by myself that costs about $3.25 to rent.

We rented some limos with a group, everyone had to wait at a place that's near our school. The entrance to the party wasn't much, but the suit, those things are pricey
Luckily my mom helped me cover the costs. And I needed one because I'm having a wedding party of an aunt soon. I must say it does have a good effect on the ladies

Never had a Prom. And that’s a good thing

IMHO, it’s a waste in all senses.

$0.....didn't bother to go

waste of time indeed. The prom has to be one of the best manipulations of finding true love....

The prom is just an expensive way to get laid

I still think this event is a conspiracy to weed out the useless people from society......hence the abnundance of alcohol and cars....and the shortage of condoms

My thoughts exactly sir, just that it's more of an american kid thing

I graduated High school years ago. I never went because I hated my school and I just wanted to stay home because it was the day of my dads funeral. Besides, I wasn't "cool" enough. Not like I cared though, I'm sure the prom queen is going to struggle like hell in "real" life

I don't think so. She'll probably marry to a wealthy man
