Exclamation FF7 Disc Change Won't Work

I reached the part in FF7 where it tells you please insert disk 2. I have tried using the change CD ROM and ISO options, starting the program with disk 2 and loading the game, both the PAL and US bios, and epsxe versions 1.5, 1.52, and 1.6, all in every combination and it will not work. The screen keeps fading out, as though to load the 2nd disc, but it reappears as though disc 1 is still in there. If anyone can PLEASE help me past this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Save to the memcard.
Quit the emu.
Start the emu with the next disc.
Load memcard save.

Dunno about that, I mean I never had problems, but this is one way to get round it.

I never had problems changing discs with ePSXe, anyway, normally you can save before the change and reload in the next CD.
I remember FearEffect 2, that had a lot of CD changes and all of them worked.

i've had to do a ton of disc changes and they've worked without fail in all kinds of games, FF7, FF9, MGS, etc etc...

neolawman: what exactly happens when you try what Kane said?

the picture with the text underneath which says insert disc 2 fades out, then reappears as though disc 1 or the wrong cd/ISO was put in the system.

Send the memory card with your game saved in a zip.

if you are using 1.7.0 and are playing the game from an image then you need to mount it on a virtual drive or play directly from the game disc. next time make a new thread.
