Hmm star wars 3 pretty soon.

I see that star wars 3 revenge of sith is coming to the market this month, any one here going to see it the first few days it is out?I most likely won't but i fear there may be a live action star wars series to be put on tv to hold the fanboys after star wars episode 3 comes to dvd.

Despite being a pretty hefty Star Wars fan, i absolutely refuse to go see it when it frists comes out (especially at Midnight on opening night like all my friends) because of the insane crowds of people. The past 2 star wars films i've found myself going on the sunday of the weekend it comes out, or wait a few weeks.

I didn't see the second one and I'm not planning on seeing the third. The new star wars movies are nothing but subpar films piggybacking on the success of their predecessors. If you want to see a good sci-fi flick, I suggest you check out Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy .

Don't worry, hehe, if I don't get to see it, I laugh at the fact that I get to watch all the anime I want that you know most do not come to North America.

Don't think I'll bother somehow. If it's even half as crap as the first two, it'll be a 'watch it when my mate rents it out on DVD' affair.

Even if latest starwars movies were crap, this EP is something every SW fan MUST see, no matter how crap it might be. Hell, its where Darth Vader is truly born. Cant wait to see Anakin slaughtering his fellow jedi, students and n00bies, brutally and mercilesly...

Me agrees with Maza.

EP3 is like the missing link of a great saga, Darth Vader is born, Yoda flees into the marshes, Wookies kicking some butt..etc..etc..

Too bad I wont be watching it on premiere night, I hate crowds..

I do intended on seeing it. Hell if it turns out to be a flop it'll at least fill in the gaps (hmmm wait a tic.... didn't I say that out about matrix revolutions as well ).

That said the best of the current batch as also the darkest, so there may be some hope.

Yup. Thats why i have high hopes for EP3. Its supposed to be very dark atmospheric. Hell, isnt it even rated as not-under-15?

Matrix Revolutions has perfectly filled all the gaps of the series IMO. Except for Neo's psychic powers in the real world and some other major stuff that kept me bothered after watching the film.

Bah, who cares about filling the gaps and plots? They'll just poison you're mind. It's the gee-whiz factor that really counts...(yeah, more action scenes from yoda!)

note: I feel so sarcastic tonight.

Then i guess my mind is truly poisoned. I care a LOT of smalldetails. Those yoda action things truly bothered me in EP2. Hell, he is a Jedi Master, who knows force better than his pockets. He no longer cares about lightsabers that much. He could have beaten Dooku with just using force. (even LS and neutral ones) Dooku, while being quite strong, was just a pawn who thinks he's more powerfull than truly is.

I hope they fix this issue with EP3 when Yoda starts a real battle of force knowledge with Palpatine. (and getting his hairy green goblin ass kicked. )

Dooku cheated! It was a never a fair fight...But the lightsaber duel between them was really entertaining. I guess it was the director's move mainly because majority of the SW fans wants more action from the green goblin rather than psychic powers flying around..
Let's all blame George..

Uhm... actually, It could be the other way around...Palpatine's old wrinkly ass get's kicked by Yoda (forces palpatine to use a staff in the next episodes..) He's lap dog, Anakin came to the rescue...Yoda got pwned (or scared..or whatever reason that he had to flee from the duel and let palpatine live..)

I guess we have to wait and see. Reason why i think Palpie is stronger in force than yoda, is that Jedi class has been slowly degenerating. They are in the peak of their glory, but their powers are nothing compared what they was. When Sith dissappeared a millenia ago. (more likely hid themselves under the very noses of Jedi) Jedies gained more glory, and therefore became arrogant and too afraid of dark side, force sensitive blood grew thinner because lack of breeding (they denied marriage because of strong emotions it has, looking without exception to those few ancient jedies with bad experiences), their lightsaber skills grew weaker because of lack of real conflict against other lightsaber users and their swordskills became more focused on blocking blasterbolts which was only weapon they had to defend against. Sith in the other hand passes all their knowledge from master to apprentice, honed their skills till apprentice was stronger than master (and killed him in the process). Unlike Jedi, Siths strength stayed about same what it was millenia ago. They just didnt form empire's, untill EP3 when they managed to exterminate jedies.
