cs source how to do this?

how can i set a dedicated server from my computer at home? cause i have no idea how do to it and see no guides for it :|

when you open up steam...at the bottom of the games window...there's Source Dedicated Server right there..and then go for it. IIRC you need to open up a few ports, Reichfuher showed me them, i know it's 27015 and i think a couple others. its gotta be somewhere on steampowered.com's forums..if you can sort through all the noobage that is.

It's in the Tools category, above SourceSDK...
btw, you can't play the game your hosting from the PC that runs as dedicated server

Also, remember the server will be using YOUR internet connection (or at least the connection on the computer running the dedicated server).

Make sure you have enough to support a real server, cause any home-like connection, DSL\CABLE, etc, will not be enough in most cases.
