That art looks pretty bad for a 1997 game... o_O

Taking a look at the text, does the game use Japanese in a way that you can't display it properly? That would make the game just a bit more challenging to play.

No, not even East Asian Language support works. But it DOES display properly when you install a proggy called KanjiWeb on Win98 English.

....so far I still don't know what I'm supposed to do in the game.

It's got a very linear storyline, though.
