Internet Service Provider (philippines)
hey people, I just wanted to ask what ISP you are using and kindly describe your connection (is it slow as hell...)and how much you spend on it. If its is prepaid kindly tell me the brand. I'm asking this coz I got a crappy prepaid connection which is only fast during midnight and is soooooo slow in the mornings, the reason why I use it coz it's dirt cheap 250 pesos for 30hrs. thanks |

yup, thats what I'm using sometimes I use Philworld but only when there's no more Tri-sys. I'm planning on downloading lots of stuff coz I'm on my sem break so I'm looking for a fast ISP. which is better CBCP or Tri-sys?

I only used it because its the next cheap card available here where I live (4hrs for 100) and its speed is no better than tri-sys.

i use jade internet card. if their promo is still in effect, you get 6 hours for a hundred bucks. the last time i bought one, the clerk also gave me a complimentary one hour internet card. ![]() results are quite satisfactory, i download stuff from WinMX and Audiogalaxy with no slowdows (is 40kbps at 3pm good enuff? ), with faster access at the wee hours of the morning. o, atin-atin lang 'to ha? wag nyo ipagkalat, para di tayo mahirapan maka-connect!

i use internet one card. at P90 you have 3.75 hrs in peak and 18 hrs in Off peak. here is the table: Card Value-----Peak hrs.-------Off peak hrs. P 90- 3.75- 18 P 190- 8.00- 38 P 290- 13.00- 58 P 490- 24.50- 98 their off peak is from 1am to 7am. connection speed is great. (off peak & peak) one downfall, hard to connect on off peak hrs. i have another option though, my friend sometimes is very generous and gives me his username/password to his isp. sky internet lang naman

tri-sys is usually at 52kbps and sometimes 33kbps both peak and off-peak, the only downside is that it's very hard to connect even at 12mn! i remember i had the setting to 30 retries and it still fails to connect, although recently these problem don't seem to show. more suggestion anyone?

sky internet card is also very good, but you don't get much value, 100 for TWO hours, and you have to *shudder* manually configure settings. so only use it if desperate for a speedy download session.
