windows error with Firefox

well i decided to start using Mozilla. i had a hard time making all programs default to it. when i went to Run or windows Favorites, the links would always open in Maxthon. so i uninstalled Maxthon, and now they run in Firefox! but i still get this error (See pic).

is there some sort of special thing i have to do with XP? like tickle it in some special spot, to get firefox to work 100%?

edit: to clarify, when i click on stuff from my Favorites, or when i go to Run, it does bring up the page and it works fine...i just get that error. i dont really care about the windows Favorites menu since i'll be taking that down in a minute...but the Run command i'm worried about since i use that often.

Weird.. I never had that problem, regarding Making things default with Mozilla, Try this. On a File you want to associate with Mozilla, Right click -> Properties You should see something like "type of file" then below it "open with" Click on "change" and browse for the program.

and regarding the screen. "Windows Cant find Google" ? wtf, might be a weird ass trojan or something

Your kidding right? IE is so full of Flaws the FBI doesn't recdcomend that people use it

I switched back to the last version of MYIE2. Way better than Maxthon. Maxthon has a thing with bugs, and Firefox has a thing for not working right.

Get it here till I take it down.

thanks razor blade but i'll either

A. stop using the Run function and get used to AIM not recognizing it
B. give up and start using Maxthon

they are working on fixing all those bugs with maxthon, so i'll just keep getting those they fixed all the bugs with myie2, i think they can fix the ones with maxthon too

I hope so. This release of Maxthon blows. It always freezes and doesn't load my pages correctly, among many other thousands of bugs

well i remember a crapload of myie2 bugs, but i stuck with it, and it turned out to be pretty great. but i just wanted a change, so i deleted it and picked up Firefox and Thunderbird to replace Maxthon/myie2. and so far...Thunderbird pwns Outlook but Firefox also has its share of problems

hushypushy: Congratulations, you've stumbled upon the most reported bug in Firefox's history :P At current count there's 72 duplicate bug reports written for that, and it's only existed since 0.9 came out. Only one bug in Mozilla's history has had more duplicate reports and not been from before the year 2000

Anyway, check here for a workaround. "Right Click -> Save Link As" the patching, and make sure you name it whatever.reg. Then double click the file and it will correct the entries in the registry.
