Problem with CG scenes in xenogears

My system:
P4 2.6
gigabyte motherboard
512 mb ram
geforce fx 5200
soundblaster audigy 2 platinum

for some reason i get no sound during the cg cinemas... and it is starting to bother me.... i have tried multiple settings none have worked... anybody know anything they can help me with?

in sound configuration. make sure the first three options are checked
the one that si probably not checked is XA sound. by checking this you should have sound
