problems getting gamepad to work in linux version...

doh.....i got it working now. Thanks for the advice anyways. Apprently it will only work if I'm running as root. Same things true for zsnes too but I forgot...anyways anyone know how I can get my gamepad to work for regular users? It's annoying having to su all the time.

Try using = instead of spaces. Both should work, but there may be something wrong.
