FF7 ISO wont run

I have made an ISO file of my FF7 cd's caus the cd's get to hot in my drives, but the ePSXe doesnt boot when im opening a ISO file.

My Computer specs are:

1,3Ghz AMD Duron
512MB DDR PC2100
GeForce FX 5200 128 MB DDR
150GB HDD
Onboard sound and lan

I cant remember my settings, but my CD-Rom settings are deafult, and i have tried with 3 different CD-Rom plugins from the plugin site you are sent to from ePSXe.com

And if I use Deamon Toolz to open the ISO ePSXe comes with an error on start..

please someone help me.. i would really like to play that game again..

Use 'Run ISO' option or Mooby2 cd disk image driver.

Isn't ISO corrupted? What did you use to make it?

I used Easy CD Creator 5 Basic. Create Data CD -> copied all files to layout -> create harddisk image -> burned it to a ISO file

Hmm, you should've used CloneCD or Alcohol 120%. That may help (it works for me). What bothers me is why the CD gets too hot in your drive? I've got CDROM x52 and it doesn't. Using P.E.Op.S. CDR plugin may help - just check 'try to limit speed' option.

Use that program to limit the speed of your CD/DVD drives. As Hyuga said, use a different program to make your ISO's.

I find CDRWin to be pretty good. But I can see what you did wrong with making the ISO; you just copied the contents of the disc. To get a working iso you have to do it properly so that hidden files etc aren't neglected and left out.

Some PSX cds cannot be copied, if you force to copy it, the file will be created but you cant get it work.

Every psx cd can be copied, try alcohol with "playstation" profile. Some of them need a little more tweaking, that's all.

silverhand, what spu plugin are you using? If your using Eternal SPU in the Audio Out Method set it to-"SPU async" and Assync mode "smooth" and that will keep the music in sync tothe speed of the GPU.
