Internet Explorer question . . .
When using a search engine on Internet Explorer for the first time, you're prompted on whether or not you would like IE to save the search words (for example, if oyu type in something like "Emuforums", and you click the search field sometime in the near future, a pull down menu would appear and you can just click it there). I was wondering if there is a way to manually disable/enable it, I've searched IE's andvanced options and regestry path, but I couldn't find any. Any advice would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance. Last edited by Mako Eyes; February 29th, 2004 at 04:14.. |

I think this is the AutoComplete feature in IE (I'm not 100% sure though). To turn it off, go to Tools>Internet Options>Content>Auto Complete and then uncheck the "Forms" box. *edit* Damn beaten to it.

Might be different in regular IE though...but it's worth looking there. And if you have Window Washer or anything like that running, that will clear search history unless you disable that.
