Strange issues w/ certain games.
I have a psx2usb adapter, and I'm using a dual shock 2 controller. I tried running a game that required a dual shock controller (Ape Escape). The analog stick and d-pad both work perfectly. In that game the d-pad has different functions that the analog sticks, so they must both be working perfectly to play it. However, w/ metal gear sold, chrono cross, and legend of legaia the analog sticks don't work like they should. In chrono cross the L3 and R3 buttons have a function and that works, but moving around w/ them doesn't. Interestly enough, I tinkered w/ the vibration function for 2 days, and finally I sat down at my computer today, and started up chrono cross, and the vibration magically started working. It also works in legend of legaia perfectly as well. However, in mgs, and ape escape, it doesn't. Any ideas why the analog stick work in some games, but not others, and why the vibrate function works in some games, but not other? By the way, all the games I've tested supported analog and vibration, so game support isn't an issue. My vibration settings are: DX Pad 1, Constant, Constant. Thanks in advance for the help.

An update. I have now gotten all games to work w/ the analog sticks perfectly. I found out that if I hit F5 after the games starts, it enables analog mode, and yes, it is fully analog. (EX: in Chrono Cross if I barely move the stick he walks, if I move it all the way he runs. Problem solved. The force feedback is still flaky though. It still doesn't work in Ape Escape or Metal Gear Solid. But is does work in legend of legaia and Chrono Cross. I haven't tried anything else yet. It would be nice to have it working, but it's not absolutely necessary. It will probably get better in the future as newer versions of epsxe come out hopefully. BTW, the driver I'm using is Xinga Macro 2003. That is what the device is listed as in device manager, and that is also the software macro program for the adapter. I got this usb adapter at www.jandaman.com . It's called the Playstation USB adapter 5. The Xinga driver is available on that website.
