ps cd reading risky?
Somebody told me that reading and actually using psx cds could be dangerous for the PC cd reader itself,it could be damaged for reading the cds. Is this true or is it a false rumor? Thanks |

Well, I've had no damage done to my drives(though I always use the ISO, and just read the disc to rip it ti my HD). I'v never heard of any of those types of problems...

I'm pretty sure this is just a rumor. I've used PSX CDs in one of my CD drives for a long time with no problems and it's REALLY old. Like 4x if I remember right.

as they are just CD-roms they should be fine, just use the game's bios to be sure (most early games dont need them) psx games are only dangerous to playstations
