Few emu problems...

Okay, these problems seem to be pretty simple compared to most things that are discussed here, but I'm too stupid to figure either out ^^.

Okay, first of all, for some games (eg, Parasite Eve), I can't press anything. Well, I can sometimes, but most of the time, I can't actually press start when it tells me to (I can get a positive or negative result from the same video/audio plugins...:s).

And next...
For some games, the sound seem to be slower. I have never heard the original tempo of some games, but I think that the sound is a bit too slow. When there's nothing on the screen (eg, area transactions), the music suddenly speeds up, but when things start to appear, it slows down again.
It's probably something to do with my PC specs, but I dunno...
What do I configure to make the music run normally? What plugins would you recommend? (I'm using Eternal SPU at the moment...)

did you configure your controller buttons?

ok so you need to give us : your computer's specs and what plugins you are using, first of all.

I think...
AMD Athlon, 1.7ghz or so...
some Radeon graphics card (it says 7000 series in the device manager thing).
Running on Windows XP.

I have a really bad on-board sound card kinda thing, which could be the source of one of my problems.

I kinda switch plugins every five minutes, but...
Video - Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.0
Audio - Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
Bios - SCPH1001.BIN

I play from an ISO file (not CD).
