Were you trying to be sarcastic? Or just inconvenient?

No, I was not trying to convey any "harmful" or "bad" feelings. Sorry if I did though.
I was just making an observation about somethhing that seemed odd to me. On my system(which I really love, but its not the best), a game ran with max settings and at 1600x1200. Hardly anyother games can run at full speed on this, but U2ExMP(demo) did. Odd. Nice shots though.

I haven't had as much fun as I'm having in this type of multiplayer class based since I stopped playing TFC. It's basicly TFC with 10x better GFX, sound, and everything in between. I'm totaly hooked on this, and probly won't be playing Enemy Territory for a while now (current high action FPS fave). Although, there seem to be few servers that have a low enough ping to play on right now, but I'm sure that will change. I pretty much only play on 'The Factory' one of the beta servers, now turned public. I was in the beta for this, and hoped it would catch on, and it looks like it has done so. Unreal 2 might not have had a huge success (I thaught it was really good) but this alone is worth buying the special edition Unreal 2, since you can get it for a song now.

No its not all that harsh on the GPU (GF3 or better mind you), but it is a killer on the CPU and RAM though. Going from a XP1900 and 256MB to XP2400 with 512MB was like night and day. The RAM jump probly helped the most.

sounds like I need to up my RAM then...
I also got hooked on the demo. Actually I played a few hours of the full version at a friend's. When I went home I just had to get the demo... Last night I think I played it 12 hours straight.
I didn't even like any FPS after Quake 2 (and the mods), until now. I'll probably get the special edition U2 soon.
If any game deserves a whole bunch of low ping high capacity servers, this is it.

btw, nice screenshot of the sniper (1st post last pic)

I played the expansion. It is so confusing for me. I'll stick with UT2003. But it looks good.

Exactly. I was running around for quite awhile before I saw vehicles and then I kept getting killed. Too much IMO. But then again it was just the demo. I hope UT2004 does not turn out that way the demo did. *me virtual hugs my UT2003.*

It reminds me of Tribes in a way. But Tribes has a smaller learning curve.

no way, guys...
I haven't played FPS for a long time and I got the hang of it in a few hours. It's just capture the flag, except there are 4 "artifacts" instead of 1 or 2 flags. The tutorial is quite comprehensive. Frankly I didn't remember everything from it at first. I just learnt some basics from it and then learnt the rest as I played. You can just start by following a teamate and see what he/she does.

Well I don't know if the other games are easier, but this isn't that hard IMO.
