How to rip copy protected CD?

I want to make a backup of a game CD, but I can't seem to make a rip with Fantom CD.

I get the error message "L-Ec Uncorrectable Error".

Is there a way to see the copy protection scheme on the CD?

BTW, it's EA games CD.

well, if you were to use Alchohol 120 for burning, you could download Alcoholer v3.2 which will tell you the CD's protections and tell you how to set Alcohol's settings to get past it when you burn it.
apparantly... i've never had to try it.

Go to this site and get clonyxxl:

Then press download.

This shows what copy protection the cd is using.

Yeah, I found out from this thread, EA games use safedisc 2 protection which Fantom CD can get around with the right settings.

don't use clonecd, alcohol 120% has surpassed it
