Cpu Matters

Hey guys! Question for u all~
I have a Cpu running at 1400MHZ and has a 400MHZ system bus frequency.
May i know whether System bus Frequency= FSB?

If yes, why when i use Tweak Power Pack Pro, the system information it given to me is that it's only running at 100MHZ FSB. May I know whether there's a way to solve this prob?

PLs view the Attach file. Which contain the screenshot which i captured from Tweak power Pack 2003 pro. thanks guys!

Re: Cpu Matters

FSB = Front Side Bus

It shows 100 becuase P4's are quad pumped. Anthlon Xp's are 2 times. So, it's actually 100MHz, but the P4 actually makes it 4 time that, which makes the 400 MHz. I don't know all the details, but that's basicly how is goes.

DDR(Double Data Rate) memory works kind of the same way. My 266MHz memory runs at 133MHz, because the DDR memory does 2 times that.

So a FSB of 333 on AthlonXP would really mean 166.5?

Re: Cpu Matters

No, 423 pin is the early p4/celeron layout. 478 pin is the 533/ 800Mhz FSB CPU's. thats 133 and 200Mhz quad pumped respectively .
