Re: Final FAntasy 9 too fast

i think that a thread similar to this should be made a sticky. i just glanced at the thread list, way too many people post with "my games go too fast"

Re: Final FAntasy 9 too fast

I'm partly in agreement, partly not. Problem with stickies is as the no. of stickies increase, their effectiveness decreases as they just get "lost in the crowd". But I agree that something would be useful...

yeah, good point. if there are too many then it becomes like some forums that are just stickies everywhere.

why between 60 and 70? i think it should be defaulted at auto and On. lord kane posted about this in another thread about pete's plugins though...

Re: Final FAntasy 9 too fast

it should be default that way because that's the normal speed psx games go through

As hushypushy said, the default is 50 or 60 dependant on your region. It's tweakers who change it to 'somewhere between 60 and 70'. Auto is fine for dealing with n00bs.

Actually, when I set mine to auto, it went at about 200fps. Which made the game way too fast, if I even have to point that out.

I set it to 70 fps manually, and now the game runs decently.

Setting it to Auto autodetects the region coding of the game and sets it accordingly.

Plus, resurrecting 2+ year old threads isn't the wisest idea to do. Especially when you're posting misleading information.

damn, i know a thread is old when i get an email notification about it. i always wondered why people ressurect these super old threads? do they just hit the search button and go on a conquest to spread their (mis)information? it boggles the mind.

anyway, just FYI, a lot of people have reported problems setting the FPS limit to a constantly higher amount (like not 50 or 60).
