nah, they're done with D2. they have bigger things to think about like WoW and SC:Ghost. so far, as far as i know, blizzard has never released more than 1 expansion for a game... so we shouldn't expect anything different with WC3 either.

With the worldstone destroyed they could revive the Three Brothers if they wanted to. Not to mention that we haven't seen anything from Azmodan - The Lord of Sin, and Belial - The Lord of Lies, yet. I think there's a devil lord or two more, I tend to forget them... anyway, lets not forget that they could pull off the classic "now that the seal is gone, something even worse than the previous enemies combined seeks vengeance", the seal being the worldstone and the "something worse" being whatever they wish...

Their options of upcoming storyline are endless..

they really could do anything they wanted if they REALLY wanted to make a sequak. its just that they probably shouldn't whip out some lame story so that they can make another one. logically and simply speaking, this should be the end, but who knows... i really don't see them dropping the series. however, they could ruin it by making it 3D and/or an MMORPG

It's hard to foresee their actions.

Transforming Diablo into a MMORPG would ruin the game for me, although (given the popularity of MMORPGs nowadays) it could be a good thing for Blizzard. Although I think that Kidd is right, and WoW will be their only MMORPG project.

A new expansion or sequel would probably be lame - even with the endless possibilites described by Kidd. "Diablo III: The Return of the Dark, Dark Lord" would start to sound like "Nightmare on Elm Street" or "Friday, 13th".

But like Exodus, I believe that Blizzard will not let this profitable game go away so easily, specially since it got a so big and loyal fanbase.

That's why I think it's hard to foresee their actions. Maybe they will surprise us all

They are more of a big chat room with battles. IMO theres no story left. I mean yea you follow it but I think RPG's should be played solo. This aint no mario party/msn.
