hmm. then i dont know. our admin sxamiga has one of these adapters, maybe he can help. also you might want to post more info, like which Windows are you using, which adapter you have, which psx controller are you trying to connect, and which directx version etc |

ok, so you do have a driver... so exactly what doesnt work? and what works? also i'm not sure what you mean by "analog buttons". If you mean those pressure sensitive buttons, you dont have one on a DualShock (only on DualShock2's). maybe you mean those L3 and R3 buttons when you press the sticks? |

uh... its those two buttons thats on the analog sticks if thats what u're talking about and it is on dual shock 1 i've used it to play this game call "monkey... uh something" where u try to find monkeys and stuff. and also thats not my real problem i just cant delete my old driver and when i do.. I plug the controllor back in it automatically installs it again.. under the sound, video and game controller section. Anyone have any idea to take out this driver? |

for usb devices, you dont "take out" the driver. you "update" it ![]() it's a looong step, so take notes: - double click your device (under the sound video blah) - go to Driver page - click Update Driver - select "specify the location..." - display a list... - Have disk... - and find the .inf file! if the drivers in the .inf file is compatible with your device, it will show up in the list. otherwise you need another .inf file. |

I think that "monkey...whatever" game has problems with controllers. Use the forum search for "monkey" to see if you can find some older threads on that game.

that monkey game doesn't have any problems, i played it on a real playstation 1 and the updating works but still can't take the old driver on the "Gaming Options" or "Game Controllers" it just stays there while i can't add the new driver since it doesn't show up on the list |

i think adair might be talking about the emus having problem with that particular game, which is possible. hmm, if you updated the drivers successfully, the one in "gaming options" should be the new one, they might just have the same name. try unplug it, restart, and plug it back in. also, do you have another game to try this with? also try different emus. which one are you using anyways? for example, so far the only emu with vibration is epsxe, i think. |

Yeah I was talking about the game having controll probles in ePSXe. It would be pretty stupid if a PSX game had control problems on a real PSX.

ohh, i see... just a little misunderstanding among us ![]() so you're saying when you test the buttons in gaming options, pressing the sticks do nothing? if that's the case, how many buttons do you see on the screen? if the driver installed correctly, there should be 16 buttons. here's a screenshot from Simon's website: http://www.stndev.btinternet.co.uk/psxusbshot.jpg and it's explained on the page http://www.stndev.btinternet.co.uk/usbpads.htm under 27/5/1999 it says your "LHS stick button" and "RHS stick button" should be button 2 and button 3 |
