pop unders

help can anyone tell me about the best popup killer to use on aol8, i can already stop the normal popups from the bottom of the web window, but the pop unders (messenger service at top) i seem to be able to do nothing about, most of them are asking if i am anoyed by these popups and trying to sell pharmacuticals, these things are driving me crazy and even apearing when i am watching dvds or playing games.

Re: pop unders

NTL doesn't force you to use crappy AOL software, so you can use stuff like MyIE2 or a variant of Mozilla, which all have built in popup blockers. I haven't seen a pop-up in around a year.

Re: pop unders

No, the post background color alternates. Use Chrono Archange's version.

MyIE2 and Mozilla are free. Meaya's pop-up ad filter is superb, but shareware.

Re: pop unders

Here is the file for the pic. Unzip it and it will have the gif.

IMO MyIE's popup stoper doesn't work that well. Well, it works too well. It tends to stop stuff that I want showing up.

EDIT: I think I know why the pic didn't work for you. AOL saves images in .art format. That's prolly why. Save it again as a .gif or use the one in my zip.

If you set it up so that it only blocks your blacklist it's fine. By default it'll block all popups tho.
