1st: remove all plugins that you don't use. That should do it.
2nd: Try Pete's D3D 1.51
3rd: no idea.

Remember that GT2 must have Accurate cdrom timing enabled in the cdr config to work.

Hey! I play GT2 with no probs in my system, and I have a PII 266 and a 3d Blaster with 2mb! about the error, try to reinstall the emulator. About the plugin, if you think that none of the d3d or opengl is good enough, the use the software mode! thats all I can tell you! good luck!

if epsxe is too slow running GT2, you might want to try bleem! (suggested retail $30) or VGS (discontinued)

Actually the thunk connection error is due to TSGMSCDEX CDplugin improperly installed. You need to place cdrTsgMSCD.dll in the plugin folder and place subTsgMSCD16.dll and subTsgMSCD32.dll in the main ePSXe folder(the one containing ePSXe.exe).

MGS solid runs fine on bleem 1.5b.... Funny thing is that bleem actually runs the fastest out of all the psx emus but its compatibility is low and has a lot of graphic glitches in games.. Mgs runs pretty decent but gets all weird when the blur effects come on.. Weird stuff all over the screen.. The sound seems to be a little better than epsxe though.. There is no sound\video stuttering when the realtime mdecs are playing.. The sound does pause and skip but the video doesn't... Unlike epsxe where everything will stall and skip during those scenes..

I used to play MGS on bleem 1.5b, but I sold it to a friend so I can't test it on the new betas. Its not worth playing in Bleem because the sound is really screwed up, the codec screen was all screwed up, and there was a pause everytime the game had to render an explosion.
