Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Hello all. Whenever I try to play an ISO on PSXeven, the FPS says 60, but the game and music are in slow motion, what gives?

ATI Radeon 9700 128mb GFX Card
WinXP Home Edition
Petes OpenGL 1.74
Eternal SPU 1.41
Xevens CDR Driver 0.93

Thanks All,

DrewDown

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Does PSXeven even play games at full speed?

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Im using Petes OpenGL 1.74 with all the goodies enabled, Eternal SPU 1.41 with Async and reverb on. And running ISO games, so there shouldnt be any slowdown. ePSXe runs the same settings at full speed for me, but PSXevens FPS says '60', but plays more at 30. Weird, huh?

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Okay, here's an example of whats happening. When I play GT2 the FPS shows 60, the title screen and car select screen run normal, but when I go into the race it slows down dramatically, but the FPS still says 60? How can that be?

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Well the only thing that I can come up with is that your pushing your machine too far. Try switching off some of the "goodies", or lowering the resolution to see if that improves matters.

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Ive never had problems running any games, my PCs new and has a good GFX card and a P4 2400. Besides, like I said earlier, I play ePSXe with the same settings and the games run perfectly.

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Sorry but that doesn't mean anything. Epsxe is currently better optimised than PSXeven (although Xev improves this with nearly every release). Hence PSXeven needs quite a bit more horsepower to achieve the same results.

At least give it a whirl. Besides psx games usually render better @ resolutions which are multiples of that of the real console.

Re: Help!! Games running in slow-motion

Would the Audio plugin have anything to do with slowing down the emulation? Like XA or the IRQ hack?

do you have Frame Skipping enabled? i suggest turning it off. and in the sound configuration you should only have the first three enabled. not the IRQhack
