Unhappy Bust a move (groove) 2 still wont work for me under 1.6.0 please help

I have been waiting so long and when i saw

-Fixes to the CD-Rom decoder and the core which made some more games playable. For example, Spyro 2 PAL, Spyro 3 PAL, Front Mission 3, Batman Gothan City Racer, Duke Nukem: Land of babes, Ridge Racer JAP, Nekketsu Oyako, Bust a Grove 2 JAP and others.

I couldnt wait to see the game work. sadly im still encountering the timing issues. halfway through the round i got thrown off and couldnt keep in sync there after. Thinkin i was playin badly i put it in my psx and it worked flawlessly and i didnt miss once in lil ol shortys lvl. If someone has this working with this new version please list me your

Plugins
Settings
and
Prayers for me

hehe i just want this to work so bad! It looks sooooo nice on epsxe

thanks in advance,
Kaouri

and yes this is my first post hehe

I have been playing with this game for a few hours now. I find that the music is tied to the game speed. If I slow down the game, the music slows down too and stays out of sync. Generally I have noticed that the game video is just a bit ahead of the audio.

Do you guys know how to slow down the emulation of the game while allowing the music to continue running fast?

have you tried using the Eternal SPU? you also might want to try SPUasync in Pete's Dsound (mode 2). also, you may want to turn Framebuffer effects down a notch, and also maek sure to turn off the GF4 crash fix. you arnet using a GF4 so dont bother LASTLY, turn off odd/even bit hack. you dont need it.

failing all that, try ePSXe 1.5.2 or PSXeven.

With the eternal SPU:
Device = DirectSound
Out Method = SPUasync Simple Mode
everything else off.
I got echos. Very bad.

I changed the Audio Out Mode to Thread.
Misc:
- OFF realtime config window
- ON wait for XA buffer is free (Toggling this on and off did nothing)
- OFF cache VAG decode
Sounds the same as Petes plugin. Same timing issues. Game moves faster than audio.

Changed Audio Out Mode to Timer and left the rest the same and got the same results.

Anyone know what the fine tuner option does?

with Eternal, try all default settings except audio out mode SPUasync-->Wait and then turn the frame limiter in the GPU off.

did you try a different emulator like i said? ePSXe 1.6.0 has been known to have some timing problems.

try the ePSXe internal SPU. it sounds kind of tinny, but it has very high compatibility.

Your suggestions with the eternal plugin did not make the game playable but did help the game come closer to sound sync.
Using the epsxe core GPU was terrible.
I tried some wierd emulator that started with an A. Couldn't get it to load my cd at all...
I'll look for some others. And I'll look into epsxe 1.5.2. Can I use all the same plugins for the older version?

It does have controller support. Just remember that it requires an external pad plugin, such as Harakiri.

Penguniman, try to avoid double posting, if you need to add info to a previous post, use the edit button that is located on the lower right corner of your window.

BTW, the name is Harakiri .

Click on Advanced Mode and you should be able to access the selection of the SPU and its options. Be sure the SPU plugin exists in the plugin directory.

The only sound plugin that works for this game with AdriPSX is Petes DSound. I can't get any of the others to give any sound at all.

PSXeven so far works best but the harikiri plugin isn't for that emulator...

It still gets out of sync. It's not playable. I'm not done tweaking it tho. I'll let you know what I find.

In fact, harakiri works great with other games on PSXeven, but that is a game known to have emulation problems, so it might simply not be compatible. BTW, please don't double post. Instead, use the edit button (located on the lower right corner of your posts) to add info to your previous post.
