Vagrant Story Sound Problem

No sound at all, i've tried every plug-in out there to no avail.
Other games have had minor problems with sounds that are easily fixed, but i get no sound out of this game at all, with any plug-in.
Anyone got a solution to this?

These are my settings and they work fine.
emulator = ePSXe 1.5.2
sound plugin = Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41

Settings for Sound Plugin Selection
==========================
Sound Plugin = Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
Enable Sound box checked
Enable CDDA Sound box checked
Enable XA sound box checked
Enable SPU IRQ box *NOT* checked

Settings for Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41
==========================
Audio Device:
Direct Sound
Buffer Size = 64

Audio out method:
SPUasync
Async mode = Smooth

Misc:
*none of the boxes checked*
Fine tune = 0
Reverb = Neill's

Special game fix:
*all boxes checked*

Other than that, you might wanna try updating your Sound drivers. Hope I was of any help
