FF9 Before Battle
Everything is fine when playing, until I enter a battle. When the screen changes and you get (dragged) into battle. The game goes ultra slow. After that the game goes back to normal speed. Can anyone help me. IŽll provide a picture of my configuration.

I had the same problem. Check if the FSAA (FullScreenAntiAliasing) of your graphicscard is turned on. I turned it off and now it works fine. Oh, and have a look at my thread 2 steps below! Only the fiirst posting is in german, the other ones are very readable, and, what is even more important, they handle the same problem! Have fun...

Also, set "FrameBuffer Textures" to "1: Black - Fast but no special effects".... it will run at the proper speed, but you won't see the swirl effect in battles..... I think the swirl would only run really well on at least a 900-1GHz system equipped with a GeForce2... I only have a lowly P3-600 and GeForce2MX, and I have to switch that thing off
