Re: which is the better ps2 rpg?

Xenosaga - played it, it is long and good
Kingdom Hearts - if u look past the Disney characters it is a good rpg
Grandia II - It looked better on the Dreamcast, very good
Final Fantasy X - I liked it, the sphere grid is good
Final Fantasy XI - seen it, won't play it I like the single player Final Fantasy's
Wild Arms 3 - another great wild arms rpg

I would choose Xenosaga as my current favorite rpg

Re: which is the better ps2 rpg?

Agree with everyone. FFX rocks!! Although you may find the sphere grid a bit confusing(). IMHO, everything is Superb in FFX and it is a "must-get" for every PS2 owner. Oh, and you may have seen some FFX bashers arround, my idea is, ignore them and play the game yourself. BTW, I'd recommend you to get the Japanese International version if possible, the new stuff will always make the game better.

if you happens to be one of the Squaresoft/FF fans, I think you'll like KH, I cant comment on this since I havent played it but from what I heard of, its a great game.

Re: which is the better ps2 rpg?

is Wild ARMs 3 actually 'western' this time? in the first 2 installments, i didn't see anything to do with the west, although, they definetly marketed it as being like that.

im currently playing xenosaga. it starts out slow, for the first 2-3 hours, but then it really picks up. i dont mind setting the controller down for 30 minutes for the movies, because they are damn good. also, i bought kingdom hearts when it came out, and returned it 2 hours later. dont buy it. fighting generic blobs for hours really does suck.

Re: which is the better ps2 rpg?

Arc The Lad: Twilight Of The Spirits is a must if you have been playing the previous series of ATL in PSX. I think BOF: Dragon Quarter should be included, although I did complained about it at first, but finally I salute it for being one the most difficult RPG.

Re: which is the better ps2 rpg?

Kingdom Hearts was an excellent game. So at the beginning they are all blobs? So what? It's not like Final Fantasy doesnt' reuse enemies a lot. At least hte KH enemies do change per world and aren't often rehashed with changed colours
