FF8 Problem

When i start up any game, they take forever to load. They sit at the Sony Entertainment Presents screen for somewhere around 2-3 minutes before they do anyting. Any Ideas?

Here are my comp specs:

Processor: Celeron 466
RAM: 256MB
Video Card: Ati Rage 4mb

epsxe v1.5.2
Plugins-
Video: Pete's D3D Driver 1.72
Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2
CD Rom: ePSXe CDR ASPI Core 1.5.2

There is a special game fix for this, IIRC 'Special upload detection' or 'Direct framebuffer updates' or something.

You really should use a software gpu plugin as well. Looking at your system specs.

my guess is that are using subchannel caching... try disabling it.
