Lunar Silver Sound Problem

Hi,
I have play quite a few games on EPSXE 1.5.2. This is first time that the sound is so terrible that I can not even make it out what it says.

It seems to me the only problem is when the story require the character to speak. That is when the sound get weird. Even the music is still playing.

This is my setting:

bios: scph7502.bin

Video: Pete's D3D Driver 1.72

Window mode: 640 X 480 Color depth: 16 bits
Texture Quality: R5 G5 B5 A1
Hi Res textures: 0
Texture filtering: 6
Gfx card vram: 0

Use FPS limit (Checked)
Auto-Detect FPS/Frame (Checked)

Off-screen drawing: 3
Advanced blending: 0
Framebuffer textures: 0
Framebuffer access: 4
Alpha multipass (checked)

Sound: ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2
Enable Sound (Select to enable ADPCM sound) (checked)
Enable CDDA sound (Select to enable CDROM sound) (checked)
Enable XA sound (Select to enable XA sound in MDEC) (checked)
Enable SPU IRQ hack (need in some games) (checked)

CDrom Plugin: ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2
E:

No patch or anything.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

I hope you are not referring to this:
jl4296 - Enable SPU IRQ hack (need in some games) (checked)

Yelo's suggestion is fine, try it.

Re: Lunar Silver Sound Problem

Hi yeloazndevil/I-Chan,

Thank you for the suggestion. Now, it is just stuttering. At least I can somewhat make it out what it is saying. The sound is fine when it is in the FMV, but it is not outside of the FMV. I am wondering if I just need to make a new copy.

Can one of you tell me what setting should I use. I have unchecked the Enable SPU IRQ hack (need in some games).

Re: Lunar Silver Sound Problem

There is another problem. It seems the screen goes to black screen after a save. I do not know if that is the only place that goes to black screen or not.
I'm wondering if it is the same problem with Digimon World 3.

Re: Lunar Silver Sound Problem

Well, it's fine, now you know, no problem with a little mistake sometimes . And please, don't double post, there's an edit button you can use to add text to your post after it's been posted. Give us your settings in eternal so we can help you, but my first suggestion is to play with the sound buffer. Make it higher so it won't (probably) stutter, but no so high that it will play totally out of sync.
