i've got a question

I have a question.. say on your monitor cable... one of the pin is broken off.. would that in any way have any kind of affect on the motherboard or the graphic card?

Depends on the pin (see Diagram)

Pin #1:RED

Pin #2:GREEN

Pin #3:BLUE

Pin #4:Monitor ID Bit 2

Pin #5IGITAL GND

Pin #6:RED ANALOG GND

Pin #7:GREEN ANALOG GND

Pin #8:BLUE ANALOG GND

Pin #9:not used

Pin #10:SYNC RETURN (GND)

Pin #11:Monitor ID Bit 0

Pin #12:Monitor ID Bit 1

Pin #13:HORIZ Sync

Pin #14:VERT Sync

Pin #15:not used

9 and 15 are the outer pins on the smaller horizontal row. Ok so it was a list
