Re: problem with wav files

Your probably missing some required audio codecs. What specifically are you trying to do?

Re: problem with wav files

Like I said. Specifics. Where did the wave files come from? What exactly are you trying to convert to wave? Have you tried using Winamps built in wave disk writer option?

Re: problem with wav files

Any wav file? Even if you record it yourself, or rip it straight from one of your CDs?

Re: problem with wav files

When you said you re-installed Windows, Do you re-installed soundcard drivers too?

Try looking for new drivers in soundcard homepage.

Since Windows 3.11 nothing more than OS and soundcard drivers, had to be installed to manage wav files.

The drivers must be 'corrupt'. I think.

Take a look at Windows' 'Devices Manager'
