Today, my 22-year-old cat died. He's been a lifelong companion and has been around since I was born. And then, after his death, I look around and see my remaining animals. I have another cat and three dogs. My mother loves animals, so that's why we have so many. So that brings me to the following question:

What kind of pets do you have?

My family used to have quite a few cats when we lived in Oregon. My sister also had a parakeet that died a few years ago. Currently the only pet we have is a fish in the dining room.

a female-cat. I love her. She's one of the family. The only thing I don't like is what Aaron O. said, cats (normally) lives shorter than humans.

I dont wanna see my cat die. I hope future could make something about that ...

I have 2 cats, the people on #emufanatics know this cause I always say "Tabby's here" when ever my tabby cat jumps on my lap. I also have a small, black farm cat. He's a really cute cat, 'speacly since he's no longer a kitten, actually he's middle aged. Both cats are around 10 years old, Tabby is probably a bit older cause we got her from the SPCA and she was a kitten anymore. I love my cats


I also have 3 fire belly toads. They're really nice looking and have bright orange and black stomichs. Once they mated and I have about 20 tad poles, but unfortunalty only one survived

I also have a paddle tail newt. He's pretty cool and comes out at night. Once I thought he had excaped along with the toads(dont worry, I found them, the cats were trying to eat them and led us right to them) and I couldnt find him anywhere. I search the tank, the room, everywhere. I thought he was dead. Then a few months later I came downstairs in the middle of the night to get a drink, walked by the tank, and there he was, just swimming around, having fun in the tank. Pretty weird cause I searched everywhere, including inn the gravel.

I love animals, but not right now, my mom is telling me to clean un the kitty litter

hmm, I just noticed the number...it gives me hope that my cat will live a few more years. He is getting slower and not as mobile as before (although he still does sets of sprints in the hallway). He really cant beat me anymore in fights :/ he use to be able to climb on top of cabinets and walk across the top of doors when they were open and then jump on you...now he manages to make it on top of the kitchen table with the help of a chair :frown:. I give him kitty treats to give him something special, but then he got to think they were a regular thing and I am evil if he doesn't get at least 2 a day now.

Everyone seems to have a large amount of animals like me. I hope to just have one animal when I have a house of my own. I can't stand the emotional attachment.
