This belongs in hardware right?

Quote:
Valve and Plantronics Unveil Counter-StrikeTM Headsets for Voice Communication
Valve, creators of Counter-Strike and Half-Life(R), and Plantronics, a leading manufacturer of computer headsets, today unveiled a custom Counter-Strike headset. Based on the Plantronics' popular DSP-500, this plug-and-play USB headset features DSP technology and Counter-Strike's distinctive branding. The Counter-Strike headset is available now exclusively at www.plantronics.com/valve.

Generating over 4.5 billion player minutes per month, Counter-Strike is the number 1 online action game in the world.

Plantronics introduced the first lightweight communications headsets in 1962 and is recognized as the world leader in communications headsets. Information about the company can be found at www.plantronics.com or by calling (800) 544-4660.
At a 109 bucks it better be good! I have a plantronics headset right now, and its the best one i've used .

Ah, well my one does, which is probably why it was cheaper. But the game commands thing is damned wicked. I used it all the way through Splinter Cell.

Re: Cowter-Strike Headsets

Yeah, but in CS you wany full surround, neh?
I have to say tho that as good as headphones are (above 2 speakers anyway), 5.1 just rocks in games if set up right.

Headsets are so you can use the VON (Voice Over Net) facilities integrated into CS. My one also comes with a command button, so I can press it, say a command and it does any key combination I assign.

My headphones (not the headset) are worth £40 and are high quality Technics ones. It really does make a noticable difference.
